Beigan is the second largest island in Matsu and its
most attractive feature is the traditional village – Cinbi Village. Other
than that, the romantic beaches and reef islands that dot the place are
suitable for you to slow down the pace and taste the charming grace of
the past interlaced with the present.

Cinbi Village
Cinbi Village is the most completely preserved group
of traditional buildings in Matsu; the name Cinbi comes from the fact
that the buildings are constructed by the inner mountain walls of Chintsi
(Turtle island). There are stone houses located in an orderly manner in
this mountain township and you may see buildings mage with high-class
granite, which reflected the wealth of the fishery village at that time.
Occasionally, you may see anti-communists slogans owning to the former
military installation administration. Take a walk among the scattered
stairs of Cinbi and read these slogans on the walls with care. You would
experience the exchange of times.

Biyuan
Bishan is 298M high and it is the tallest peak in Matsu.
When you stand on the sightseeing platform located at the top of the mountain
and look downwards, you can take in vista of Baigan and enjoy the magnificent
sight of the ocean and each island at the best view point. Furthermore,
a great number of fortresses camouflaged in green stand within the mountain,
showcasing the importance of Matsu as a place of battle preparation with
its own special atmosphere. The Biyuan located at the foot of Bishan contains
abundant plants and provides a ecological paradise for public. Inside
the park, there are many verdant trees that delight your body and soul
when you wander within it.

Banli Beach
Banli is the most beautiful beach in Matsu. Along the
beach line of approximately one kilometer, fine and soft sand is distributed
all over and the quartz within the sand reflects the sun in a most charming
way; with the blue and clean ocean, the beach is a fine place for waling
and relaxing. During sunset, tale a leisurely walk along the beach and
you may proceed to Wusha Beach and Baihai Tunnel in Beigan. Embraced by
the beautiful sight of the ocean, cool ocean breezes and bright setting
sun, you will feel light-hearted and relaxed.
